The Meeting place will be hosting a Creative Self Portrait Contest for June. What is a creative self-portrait? Almost anything you envision that says something about you! Paint yourself as Wonder Woman or Doctor Who. It could be a portrait of yourself with your family at Disney, or a photo of yourself perched in a tree.
This contest is open to all media (paint, sculpture, digital art, photography, etc.). We want to display the artwork on our walls and will accept entries no larger than 20×20 inches. Please contact us if your entry is a sculpture so we can make special arrangements for display. Please submit your work by June 10th.
The Meeting Place Creative Self-Portrait Contest will feature up to 12 artists on display throughout the month of June beginning Saturday, June 13th. Prizes in several categories will be awarded on our opening night. Watch for additional details to come.
Each artist can enter up to 5 submissions with an entry fee of $5.00/piece. While on display, you can price your artwork to sell. There is a 15% commission on artwork sold at The Meeting Place. Artwork can be picked up after the July 4th weekend.
Prizes are as follows
Best of show $100 cash
and 3 runner ups $30 gift cards to the Meeting Place
